My situation is: The youth club in my area is planning to introduce a new activity for teenagers
in the community. They are considering three options: drama, chess, and photography
In my opinion, drama is the best option because of the following reasons.
Firstly, drama is meaningful and suitable for teenagers. Through acting, young people can
express themselves, improve their confidence, and build teamwork. More importantly, drama
can be used to tell stories about our country and history. For example, they can perform plays
that reflect national heroes, historical events, or traditional values. This helps teenagers learn
more about their roots in a creative and engaging way.
There are several reasons why I don’t choose the other options.
I don’t think chess is a good choice. Simply because it’s a quiet activity and may not interest
many teenagers. Some may find it boring or too difficult to enjoy.
Although photography is fun and creative, I don’t choose it because it is usually an individual
activity. It may not build as much teamwork or emotional connection as drama does. To sum
up, if I were in that situation, I would choose drama due to the above reasons. It i creative,
meaningful, and helps young people connect with their culture and each other.
My situation is: The principal of a local high school wants teachers to design a project to raise
students’ awareness of global issues. The three suggested topics are: climate change,
terrorism, and discrimination.
In my opinion, climate change is the most suitable topic for this project, for the following reasons.
Firstly, climate change is an urgent and relevant issue that affects everyone around the world.
Teenagers need to understand its causes and effects, such as rising temperatures, extreme
weather, and sea-level rise. Through the project, they can also learn how to take action —
like saving energy, reducing plastic use, or planting trees — which helps build a sense of
responsibility for the environment. lOMoAR cPSD| 59561451
There are several reasons why I don’t choose the other options.
I don’t think terrorism is the best choice. Simply because it is a serious and sensitive topic
that may cause fear or anxiety among students. It also involves complex political issues that
may be difficult for high school students to fully understand. Although discrimination is
an important topic, I don’t choose it because it may require deep discussions on race, gender,
or religion, which can be sensitive and may lead to disagreements if not guided carefully.
To sum up, if I were in that situation, I would choose climate change due to the above
reasons. It is a global problem that teenagers can clearly see and act on in their daily lives.
My situation is: The local council has received some extra funding and wants to improve
the area. There are three suggestions for how to use the money: building a sports center,
improving the library, or creating a park.
In my opinion, creating a park is the best option for our area, for the following reasons.
Firstly, a park is a relaxing and healthy space where people of all ages can enjoy fresh
air, do exercise, or simply spend time with friends and family. It provides a green
environment, which is good for both physical and mental health. Parks also help reduce
pollution and make the area more beautiful and peaceful.
There are several reasons why I don’t choose the other options.
I don’t think a sports center is the best idea. Simply because it can be expensive to build
and maintain. Also, not everyone enjoys indoor sports or uses gym facilities regularly.
Although a library is useful for studying and reading, I don’t choose it because we already
have a library in our area. What we need more is an open space where people can relax and connect with nature.
To sum up, if I were in that situation, I would choose a park because it is healthy,
ecofriendly, and benefits the whole community.
My situation is: This summer, my friends and I are planning a trip across Vietnam. There
are three transport options being considered: car, train, and plane. lOMoAR cPSD| 59561451
In my opinion, traveling by car is the best choice for the following reasons.
Firstly, a car gives us more freedom and flexibility. We can stop whenever we want to
enjoy the view, take photos, or try local food in different places. Traveling by car also allows
us to explore less-known areas that we might miss if we take a train or a flight. It’s not just
about the destination, but also about enjoying the journey together.
There are several reasons why I don’t choose the other options.
I don’t think traveling by plane is a good idea. Simply because it is expensive and we may
miss the chance to see the beautiful scenery along the way.
Although the train is a comfortable option, I don’t choose it because the schedule is fixed
and we cannot stop freely. It also may not take us directly to some smaller destinations we want to visit.
To sum up, if I were in that situation, I would choose to travel by car. It is fun, flexible,
and gives us a chance to make unforgettable memories together.
My situation is: A group of friends is discussing how to improve their listening skills. There
are three options: watching movies on Movie Star, listening to radio programs, and talking with foreigners.
In my opinion, talking with foreigners is the best way to improve listening skills, for the following reasons.
Firstly, talking with foreigners is real and interactive. When we talk to native speakers,
we are exposed to natural pronunciation, different accents, and real-life expressions. This
helps us get used to the way English is actually spoken, not just the formal language in
books. Also, communication is two-way, so we can ask for clarification if we don’t
understand, which helps us learn faster.
There are several reasons why I don’t choose the other options.
I don’t think listening to the radio is the best choice. Simply because we cannot see the
speaker’s face or body language, which makes it harder to follow, especially for beginners. lOMoAR cPSD| 59561451
Although watching movies on Movie Star is fun and helpful, I don’t choose it because it’s
a passive activity. We can’t practice responding or interacting, and we might just focus on
reading subtitles instead of listening carefully.
To sum up, if I were in that situation, I would choose talking with foreigners because it is
active, realistic, and improves listening in a natural way.
My situation is: A group of friends is discussing how to protect the environment. There are
three options: going to school or work by bike, recycling bottles, cans and paper, and buying local products when possible.
In my opinion, recycling is the best option for the following reasons.
Firstly, recycling is simple and familiar. Students can easily do it at home or at school.
We just need to put bottles, cans and paper into the right bins, and it becomes a good habit.
Secondly, recycling helps protect nature clearly. It reduces waste, saves energy, and
allows materials to be reused. That means we use fewer natural resources and help keep the planet clean.
I don’t choose the other options because they are harder to follow.
Going by bike every day depends on distance, weather, and safety. Not all students live near school.
Buying local products is a good idea, but sometimes we can’t choose where products come
from, or they might be too expensive.
To sum up, recycling is the easiest and most effective way to protect the environment. Everyone can do it.
My situation is: My class will get together and celebrate after the exam ends. We are asked
to choose between three options: going on a picnic, having a party at someone’s house, or eating at a restaurant.
In my opinion, going on a picnic is the best choice for the following reasons. lOMoAR cPSD| 59561451
Firstly, a picnic is a fun and healthy way to relax after exams. Being in nature helps
reduce stress and gives us fresh air, which is much better than staying indoors. We can sit
on the grass, enjoy the sunshine, and feel more connected with the environment.
Secondly, a picnic is budget-friendly. We don’t have to spend too much money like in a
restaurant. Everyone can bring some homemade food or drinks to share, which is both fun
and economical — a great choice for students.
Thirdly, a picnic helps strengthen friendship. We can play team games, take group
pictures, and talk freely in a comfortable space. It allows us to spend quality time together
and make meaningful memories as a class.
There are a few reasons why I don’t choose the other options.
I don’t think having a party at someone’s house is a good idea. It might cause noise and
trouble for their family, and not everyone feels comfortable going to another person’s home.
Eating at a restaurant is convenient, but it’s expensive and less interactive. People may
just eat and leave quickly, without doing much together.
To sum up, if I were in that situation, I would choose to go on a picnic. It is enjoyable,
low-cost, nature-friendly, and perfect for celebrating with classmates.
My situation is: I have to choose a place for a holiday with my friends. There are three
options: a sunny beach for relaxation, a mountain area for outdoor activities, and an
adventure center for extreme sports.
In my opinion, a sunny beach is the best choice for the following reasons.
Firstly, a beach is perfect for relaxing after busy school days. We can lie on the sand,
enjoy the sunshine, swim in the sea, and forget about stress. It’s a calm and peaceful place
where we can recharge both our body and mind.
Secondly, a beach is fun and flexible for groups of friends. We can play beach games like
volleyball, have a picnic, take beautiful photos, or simply chat and enjoy the view.
There’s something for everyone to enjoy, whether they like being active or just resting. lOMoAR cPSD| 59561451
There are several reasons why I don’t choose the other options.
I don’t think a mountain area is the best option. It may be hard to reach, the weather might
change suddenly, and hiking is tiring for some people.
Although an adventure center sounds exciting, I don’t choose it because extreme sports
can be risky and not everyone feels comfortable doing them.
To sum up, if I were in that situation, I would choose a sunny beach. It’s relaxing, safe,
and full of fun memories with friends.
My situation is: One of my friends is having trouble sleeping. I have to choose one way to
help them sleep better: counting sheep, reading a book before bed, or listening to classical music.
In my opinion, reading a book before bed is the best choice.
First, reading helps the mind relax. When we read, we forget stress and stop thinking too
much. This makes it easier to fall asleep.
It also gives us something quiet and peaceful to focus on, which is better than using phones or thinking about problems.
Second, reading is simple and doesn Tiếng Anh - Ôn Tập: Lựa Chọn Hoạt Động và Dự Án Cộng Đồng
't need any special tools. We don’t need Wi-Fi, music, or screens. A book is enough.
Also, reading every night can become a good habit. It helps the brain know it’s time to sleep, so we fall asleep faster.
I don’t think counting sheep is helpful. It’s boring and may not stop the mind from thinking too much.
Listening to classical music is nice, but some people may not like it or get distracted by the sound.
To sum up, I would tell my friend to read a book before sleeping. It’s easy, relaxing, and
really helps build better sleep habits.
