To be borned and raised in an Asian family, it is extremely necessary to preserve
the family's traditional values and culture, which brings a strong bond between family
members. My family also has traditional cultures that need to be promoted too. Every
year, when summer comes, my family often organizes a journey to the Northern
provinces of Vietnam. The above tradition originated twenty years ago when my
grandmother's health was uninsured. She is the person that we respect and love
dramatically.
Once in an evening, we heard that her wish was to explore the world - the object
she couldn't finish when she used to be a young woman working in the Youth Pioneer
Team, and from then, every twice a year we organize a trip and go with her. One of
our most memorable memories was the trip to the Northwest - the land of fierce
battles between the Vietnamese military and the Imperialist ones. Here, she told us
several anecdotes, epic and mysterious stories of this Land, thereby showing its pure
and interesting beauty. After that trip, all members of our family became more
connected and loved each other more. Finally, I hope my Grandma has better health
and our family wants to accompany each other on many upcoming journeys.
