The pie charts compare the proportions of four types of food consumed in Korea, China and India in 2008.
Overal , processed food accounts for the largest share in al three countries, while nuts and
seeds make up the smal est proportion. It is also clear that Korea and India consume more animal-based food than China.
29% of the Korean diet consisted of vegetables and fruits in 2008, and this figure rose
slightly to 32% in China. India recorded 39% for processed food in the same year, and this
proportion was considerably higher than the 34% seen in China. Meanwhile, Korea had the
highest share of processed food at 41%, surpassing both China and India.
