Definition.
The term fintech refers to the synergy of finance and technology used to optimize company processes and offer
financial services (Lael Brainard, 2016). Fintech specifically refers to the use of technical advances in financial
activities and services. In recent years, the common products of FinTech include e-wallet, crypto-currency, Peer-to-
Peer (P2P) lending, crowd funding, and InsureTech have become the key financial alternatives for consumers and
businesses (Jin et al., 2019). Fintech allows customers to gain new experience in mobile banking services (the name
of digital banking in Vietnam). In other words, customers can use banking services anywhere, rather than needing to
go to the traditional counter (Y. Kim et al., 2016). For example: Zalo Pay, Momo are the the Fintech products which
provide channel to pay online; Application of the banks are also a Fintech products that contribute a lot of functions
as lending, payment, saving.
