Receptionist: Hello sir, welcome to the French Garden Restaurant. How many?
Customer: One.
Receptionist: Right this way. Please have a seat. Your waitress will be with you in
a moment.
Waitress: Hello sir, would you like to order now?
Customer: Yes please.
Waitress: What would you like to drink?
Customer: What do you have?
Waitress: We have bottled water, juice, and Coke.
Customer: I’ll have a bottle of water please.
Waitress: What would you like to eat?
Customer: I’ll have a tuna fish sandwich and a bowl of vegetable soup.
Lesson 03: BUYING A SHIRT
Excuse me.
Hello sir, may I help you?
Yes. Can I see that shirt on the top shelf please?
Sure. Here it is.
How much does it cost?
50 dollars.
50 dollars. That’s too much.
How about this one? It’s on sale for only 35 dollars.
I don’t like that one.
How about the one next to the black gloves? It’s very similar to the one you like.
That’s nice. How much is it?
30 dollars.
That’ll be fine.
Is this color OK, or would you like a different color?
That blue one’s fine.
Do you need any more of these shirts?
Yes.
How many do you want?
I’ll take two more, a red one and a white one.

A: What kind of things do you do in your free time?
B: I’m really interested in watching foreign films. What about you?
A: I like doing just about anything outdoors. Do you enjoy camping?
B: Camping for an evening is OK, but I couldn’t do it for much longer than one night!
A: Have you ever been camping in Da Lat?
B: No, but I’ve always wanted to do that. I’ve heard it’s a beautiful place to go.
A: It’s fantastic. My family and I are very fond of the place.
B: Do you have any photos of any of your campaign trips there?
A: Sure, would you like to see them?
B: That’d be great!
