2.1. A "for and against" essay
As society develops, science and technology will also have new steps to meet the
needs of today's people. And indeed the internet is now a very necessary thing as well as
very close to people. Especially the internet among young people is more and more
important. But everything will have two sides, and how the internet has an impact on
young people today still has many different opinions. 6
The benefits that the internet bring us are many positive effects if we know how to use them sensibly.
Firstly, the Internet can be said to be a storehouse of enormous knowledge. It
makes it easy for us to find information quickly, whether new or old. And the Internet also
plays an important role in the field of education and training. You can study online or
train remotely over the internet. It can save you a lot of time or can easily communicate
with teachers online. Not only that, you can use email to communicate with each other
quickly instead of sending traditional mail by email, you can send documents to
communicate with each other at any time.
Secondly, the internet also helps us connect with friends. We can make friends with
everyone in the world with similar interests and views. From there, it is possible to build a
better relationship or cooperate with each other in many aspects, especially being able to
receive information, learn knowledge and skills, update information in a modern society
like today. It helps us to easily learn and capture a lot of important information.
Learn a lot more knowledge, hone skills to help you improve yourself.
In addition to the positive aspects of the internet, there are also negative aspects.
The first is wasting time and distracting from studying and working. Too much
focus on social media can easily make people forget the real purpose of life. Instead of
focusing on acquiring knowledge to prepare for the future by learning the necessary skills,
young people just focus on becoming keyboard heroes and becoming famous online.
The second, the internet also increases the risk of depression. Recent studies show
that the more people use social media, the more negative they feel. It can even lead to
depression. This is especially dangerous for those who have been diagnosed with
preexisting depression. The internet is also the most effective means of paralyzing and
killing the creative process. The process of surfing social networking sites has the same
numbing effect on the brain as watching television unconsciously. 7
In conclusion, besides promoting the positive aspects of social networks, it is
necessary to eliminate and prevent its negative aspects. And there is no more effective and
optimal solution that comes from the perception and purpose of the user. It is necessary to
have a correct view and use of social networks to avoid possible unfortunate
consequences. For students, the effective use of the Internet and social networks is to
know how to exploit information from reputable "clean" websites, find websites for learning. 2.2. An opinion essay
We are living in an incredible period of history. It was the age of perfect memories
and superhuman abilities of computers. “Artificial Intelligence” (AI) is one of the most
interested keywords. Now, thanks to AI, we can do things that were never possible before
and never thought we could do. However, there are things that only humans can do, and
AI can't. So I disagree with the idea that AI can replace humans in the future.
There are four reasons why artificial intelligence cannot replace humans.
The first is emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence (EQ) is simply the ability
to control and express human emotions, as well as understand and shape the emotions of
others. Whether communicating with colleagues, service users, or private clients,
everyone needs a certain level of emotional intelligence. For example, imagine your
manager is someone with a low EQ, they won't be able to communicate with you
effectively, don't understand why you have to work remotely for personal reasons, can't
help you. stress management. Simply because they don't understand. It is true that there
are robots that have developed artificial intelligence to read emotional signals, but they
cannot replace humans, especially in complex situations. They can register emotions, but
building relationships and showing empathy with customers and colleagues is another story.
The second is make a problem and find the answer. Since robots can't leverage and
understand psychology like humans, they won't be able to pose problems and figure out
how to solve problems like professionals in product design, advertising, and marketing do. 8
Let's say, you create an ad on Facebook, but people don't interact with it. Can a computer
accurately interpret the cause and provide a solution? It can offer some formulas and
tweaks to the ad, but that doesn't always work. Usually, to solve this problem you have to
understand the tastes of your customer group. Creative problem solving can include:
resolving conflicts among employees, addressing customer concerns, or even adapting
internal work processes to fit your needs. majority.
The third is management (both technology and human resources). Many companies
are using software and artificial intelligence to manage people, products, and services.
This intervention allows employees to offload manual tasks and focus on more important
tasks. Technically, automation has started to take over many workplaces, but businesses
still need people to oversee it. For example, an accounting or administrative position,
where HR can use a program to track revenue and expenses. But what happens when that
program crashes, there is a system error? Will the business owner switch to another
automated software or process right away? The answer is no, they need a person with
expertise to detect errors, use available skills and experience to repair and inspect damage.
To manage employees, computers or automation simply cannot replace humans.
Therefore, on the path to career advancement, highlighting your experience in managing
both technology and people will help employers recognize your value.
The last is communicate. Maybe many people have seen the news about robots
communicating with each other, even communicating with humans. But they still cannot
completely replace people, including both internally and externally with partners and
customers. In the days of having to work from home due to social isolation, everyone
must have found that communicating with colleagues via the messaging system helps to
maintain work operations, but it cannot be as effective and fast as direct interaction. next.
When talking about communication skills, it is also important to pay attention to
nonverbal communication skills - important in business and everyday communication.
Simply put, robots cannot communicate like humans with humans. Therefore, when you
want to advance in your career, you need to take the time to refine your soft skills,
especially, highlight your achievements in your CV. It's a long way from predicting 9
exactly how technology will shape the workforce. Automation has taken over some jobs,
but technology is still unlikely to replace humans in certain skills. So in order for AI not
to "steal" your work, first, continue to focus on your work and develop your professional
skills; second, keep the aforementioned skills in mind when you update your CV; Third,
even if you don't need a new job right away, keep honing your high-tech skills so you can adapt when needed.
In conclusion, with such advantages, although artificial intelligence can do better at
some jobs, artificial intelligence can never replace humans. The best way is to combine
human and AI capabilities to achieve work efficiency and grow together.
2.3. A “problems-solutions” essay
The environment is the natural factors and the man-made material factors that are
closely related to each other, surround people, and affect the production life, existence and
development of people and nature. However, human destruction of the environment
means destroying their chances of long-term survival. This essay will discuss
environmental problems and some solutions that government and individuals can take to solve these problems.
There are many types of pollution, such as air pollution, soil pollution, water
pollution, noise pollution, wave pollution,… And there are five main causes of environmental pollution.
Firstly, due to waste from factories and factories. This is a cause of air pollution,
making the air we breathe more and more polluted. During the production process,
factories and factories emit CO2, CO, SO2, NO into the air. Moreover, they also emit
substances such as soot and dust, which seriously pollute the air.
Secondly, pollution caused by waste from vehicles. Waste, smoke and dust from
vehicles, motor vehicles, trucks, and airplanes easily pollute the air. Especially in the less
rainy months they will make the air acidic. Harmful effects on human health. 10
Thirdly, environmental pollutants from chemical substances. In order to ensure that
plants thrive and increase productivity, it is necessary to use new techniques and
pesticides. But people often abuse drugs and do not use them properly, thereby polluting
the soil environment. In particular, they directly affect human health.
Fourthly, solid waste is not disposed of properly and safely. The amount of solid
waste is increasing day by day. Including domestic waste, industrial waste, construction
waste, medical waste, etc. If these types are not properly collected, classified and treated,
they will increase the risk of serious environmental pollution. will be affected.
Finally, the waste is discharged into the environment in daily life. Besides the
above causes, poor awareness is also one of the factors causing environmental pollution
today. For example, activities that use coal and fuel create smoke and dust, causing air
pollution, or indiscriminately discharging garbage into rivers, canals, and ponds that
pollute the water environment, creating white pollution. same danger.
However, governments and individuals now joining hands to deal with these problems.
Firstly, in order to effectively overcome environmental pollution, it is necessary to
improve the legal system on environmental protection. It is necessary to introduce heavy
fines and heavier sanctions to deter violators.
Secondly, should coordinate with specialized agencies to strengthen inspection,
supervision and inspection of waste treatment systems at factories, enterprises and
industrial parks to promptly detect and handle violations.
Thirdly, factories, enterprises and industrial parks need to be planned into
reasonable clusters. They should stay away from residential areas so as not to affect
people. At the same time, it is necessary to equip with advanced infrastructure to collect
and treat wastewater scientifically.
Fourthly, water pollution is increasing day by day and is an alarming problem. It is
necessary to take measures to treat water pollution before being discharged into the 11
environment from urban areas, industrial areas, and places where wastewater is discharged a lot.
Lastly, propaganda to raise people's awareness of environmental issues. Each of us
should always be conscious of protecting the environment. Activities such as Earth hour
and green environment have the effect of raising people's awareness. Teach children
lessons about love for nature and the environment from a young age.
In conclusion, both government and every single person must take part in saving
our planet. Proper awareness of the importance of environmental issues and
environmental protection. Understand that protecting the environment is protecting your
life, all around you, and the whole society C. CONCLUSION
Writing is one of the important skills for all. And from the above knowledge, I
