1.Is it possible for a feedback to be both positive and developmental at the same
time?
2. When making decisions, are group discussions always better than being alone
and decisive?
I don't think so because it is context-dependent. Individual decision-making can
take first place for example, when a quick decision is needed. Individual leaders
may also be appropriate if the individual has all of the necessary information.
On the other hand, if a person is missing all of the information and skills
required to make a decision, application will be difficult without the
participation of those who are influenced by the decision, and with less time
pressure
, a group's decision-making can be more effective.
3. Do you prefer making decisions on your own or with others?
From personal experience, I prefer to collaborate with others to reach a common
goal. I believe that the more people involved, the faster the problem will be
solved; therefore, encourage people to collaborate and think together. A thinker
will be incomplete, but more creative than many people. When we make
decisions together, on the other hand, no one feels passive.
4. Do you prefer the positive feedback or the developmental feedback? What is
the advantage and disadvantages of your preferred style?
Positive feedback is important to me because I'm a forward-thinking individual.
Positive feedback motivates, increases confidence, and shows others whether
you completed a good or bad job, where you should improve, and where you
should grow. However, there are some drawbacks: Overconfidence may bring to
a distorting view of oneself.
