Vấn đề đạo đức tại công ty nước giải khát Tipico -
Ngày 7/7, đoàn thanh tra liên ngành vệ sinh an toàn thưc phẩm bắt đầu tiến hành
kiểm tra tại Công ty Nước giải khát Tipico. -
1. Phân tích nguồn gốc của vấn đề đạo đức kinh doanh trong tình huống. -
Business ethics are principles and standards applied in business activities to
regulate, evaluate, guide, and control the behavior of business entities. - It consists of 2 most important elements:
+ Honesty: not using cunning or illegal means to make profits, competing fairly. It is
necessary to maintain trust in relationships, ensure the proper performance of duties and
commitments: not produce counterfeit, fake, low-quality or harmful products to human
health, violate intellectual property rights,...Business owners must strictly comply with
the laws of the State: not evade taxes, , produce and trade in prohibited goods. Business
owners are not allowed to pollute the natural environment (discharge toxic waste into the
environment, destroy ecosystems) and the social environment (trade in goods or services
that are harmful to cultural traditions, affect human education).
+ Respect for human beings: respect dignity, legitimate rights and interests (salary,
insurance, retirement benefits, policies); ensure labor safety; create conditions for the
physical and intellectual development of employees, encourage innovation; respect the
needs, preferences and psychology of customers; fair competition; attach the interests of
the business to the interests of customers and society.
In this situation, in terms of business ethics, Tipico Company can be considered to
violate the issue of food safety and hygiene when using expired raw materials to produce
products; at the same time, it lacks honesty in information with customers. This can be
dangerous to consumers’ health; can also affect the company's reputation and reduce
customer trust - the company will be responsible for the loss of customer benefits. lOMoAR cPSD| 47025104 -
However, the company's leadership tries to justify this by blaming the incident
during transportation. This creates a contradiction between complying with food safety
and hygiene regulations and ensuring the quality and quantity of necessary raw materials for production. -
In this case, the leadership of Tipico needs to acknowledge their responsibility for
using expired raw materials and take measures to control the transportation process of
raw materials and ensure their legality:
+ Establish and implement a strict supervision process for the transportation and storage of raw materials.
+ Train employees on food safety and hygiene issues and the process of inspecting raw materials before use.
+ Implement strict policies and regulations to ensure that raw materials are purchased
from reliable suppliers with valid certifications on quality and expiration dates.
2. Phân tích các đối tượng hữu quan trong tình huống trên.
Stakeholders are individuals or groups who may be affected by or have an impact on the
activities of a business, and whom the business has a responsibility to.
- Stakeholders are divided into primary stakeholders and secondary stakeholders:
+ Primary stakeholders: employees, shareholders, suppliers, customers, competitors...
+ Secondary stakeholders: local community, government, association organizations, the public...
- In addition, stakeholders are also grouped according to internal and external criteria of the business:
+ Internal: employees, board of directors of the enterprise
+ External: owners, labor protection organizations, the public
In this situation, there are the following stakeholders:
a/ Employees working at Tipico Company: responsible for using expired raw materials,
which do not ensure the quality and safety of products, and may be considered a
violation of food safety and hygiene regulations. lOMoAR cPSD| 47025104
b/ The interdisciplinary food safety inspection team: responsible for ensuring food safety
for consumers, as well as assessing and handling any violations that may occur.
c/ The leadership of Tipico: responsible for managing the company and making decisions
regarding the use of expired raw materials.
d/ Consumers: directly affected by the use of expired raw materials to produce products they may face health risks.
3. Với tư cách là những đối tượng ấy, bạn xử lý như thế nào? -
If in a management position of the inspection team: if signs of Tipico violating
food safety laws are detected → carry out strict inspection procedures and collect
sufficient evidence about the use of expired raw materials of the company; provide a
detailed report on violations to relevant agencies for appropriate handling - ensuring
compliance with business ethics and legal regulations. Additionally, measures can be
taken to ensure food safety and business ethics of the company in the future (such as
regular and more rigorous inspections). -
If in the position of the leadership of the company: accept responsibility for using
expired raw materials of the company; take measures to ensure that the production
process achieves higher quality and complies with business ethics. At the same time,
develop policies for managing raw materials and transportation processes, set higher
standards for product quality, and strictly comply with food safety regulations... -
If as a potential customer of the company: consider continuing to use the
company's products after knowing this information. If the company does not guarantee
the quality of the products and comply with business ethics as well as legal regulations
on food safety, it may affect the trust in the company and the decision to use its products.
